Tree ID Cpastal West Somerset Evergreeb Flowering now Strong scent of vanilla

     Sweet midwinter,  Azara ? 
    Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

    Pics are about the best I can do with my camera.  The tree is approx. 6 mts in height. Leaves shiny. West facing. Tiny yellow flowers, very fragrant. I thought I had narrowed it down to a couple of possibles last year and made a note - the note has, of course, gone missing.  
    If anyone can give an idea, I'd be very grateful.

    @Lyn  That's the one  :):)   I was convinced my best "possible" began with an A but brain wouldn't get any further than that  :(  I did say to E that I could just ask you  (pics on email being easy even for me ) but it's been years since I put any pics on the forum so thought I'd use this query to try it.
    Thanks for that link @Dovefromabove the picture on there was much clearer than in my RHS book - definitely matches up. It also helps with when best to take cuttings.

    Used to grow the variegated form of this species , unfortunately succumbed to the deep-freeze of 09/10 .
