Can anyone help me to identify this shrub, please? It is just coming into flower.

An early flowering prunus? Possibly a Rubus but seems too early for flowers.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

That was my thought at first but the flowers are single small buds alternately on the stems of the shrub.

Maybe Prunus triloba multiplex?

You could be correct it looks very similar. I wish that mine had such a prolific number of flowers. Perhaps it is not happy in it's current location. Thank you.
