Fritillaries imperialis

I have about 3 bulbs in a pot and 3 in flowerbed. They all came up last year though didn’t flower as they were planted late in the season. Left them until they died back. Only one is coming up so far. I’m worried as I think I should be seeing more come up given the time of year.
Many thanks

In my experience they sort of lurk … and then, one day you go out there and they’ve started to grow, the next day they’ve shot up, and in a short while they’re bursting into flower … I always think of them as flowering around Easter-ish.

I visited Hardwick Hall yesterday. Theirs had big fat buds on, just starting to show colour. In the walled garden, so I imagine fairly sheltered although the whole site is up on a ridge.
