I think it may be a climber I planted many moons ago but had lay dormant. Thanks

Are you sure @Perki? I was thinking Japanese honeysuckle   https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Japanese_Honeysuckle_(Lonicera_japonica)_1.jpg
I can't claim to be 100% sure though.

I agree. Looks like a climbing honeysuckle, Lonicera Japonica.

The leaves are shiny I would have thought C Armandii.

Too exotic to be a clematis. Carpenteria calfornica?

Carpenteria californica is not a climber and is quite an unusual plant...see pics below.

Mystery plant appears to be a twining climber.
    Leaves are opposite, evergreen.
My vote goes to very easily available Lonicera ..one of the honeysuckles.
Would be happier to see flowers to know which one it might be.
    Lonicera henryii maybe????

    Quote RHS....Carpenteria californica

    tree anemone

A medium-sized, bushy evergreen shrub, often spreading in growth. Leaves narrowly elliptic, shiny green above. Flowers to 7cm in width, pure white with conspicuous yellow stamens

    Perthshire. SCOTLAND .

Thanks Perki and all, don't recall buying that but it has certainly decided to grow with a vengeance!

When flowers appear I shall post a pic
