Garden ideas

  • Is that far enough out ?

  • As you are going to move, I would lay a strip of weed matting over the existing border and fill it with plants in containers which you could take with you to your new garden. Level the ground before laying the matting to stop the pots from tipping. If you planted annuals the pots could just be emptied and taken with you. If you wanted to spend a bit more money on perennials, shrubs etc. then they could be lifted intact and moved, if you know what your next garden is going to be like.

Is that far enough out ?

Maybe, but what is that little plant next to the conifer? Could you position the length just outside that little plant, so that everything is within the new border?  That would make the new border  parallel to the stepping stones that lead to the greenhouse. I think a solid rectangular shape could also complement what looks like other straight lines in the garden, re the other shrubs and trees in the distance.

Beehappyplants.co.uk has some good ideas for plants for pollinators, by the way!
