Japanese Quince?

Hello newbie here hoping for some help please! I have no gardening experience but have just moved into a new house with established gardens and am trying to identify some plants\ trees and get some advice on how to move them.
I have been told the tree in my picture is a Japanese quince and sadly t needs to be removed as some foundation work needs doing. My questions are;
is it a Quince?

Yes, Chaenomeles japonica aka Japanese quince ... they often have suckering growth so dig some of them up and replant them. A nice shrub that I'm very fond of; it gives lovely colour at this time of year.
The fruits can be used in cooking ... not as good as the culinary quince, but they give good flavour to apple dishes, or to pork or poultry casseroles etc.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
