Nasturtiums

I have one of those cheap plastic " green houses " you know the ones , 4 shelves about 5ft tall , I have sown a few seeds , toad flax , Antirrhinum , and some lobelia ( growing well)
I also planted some Nasturtium seeds not only have they germinated , they are now 3-4inches tall , when can I plant them out ( hanging baskets) BTW I live in southern UK

Cheers Daryll

I think you're a bit early. Have you got any left?

You can’t put annuals out until all risk of frost is past I would say May at the earliest depending where you are in the country.
Nasturtiums germinate quickly and easily but in an unheated greenhouse a cold snap will finish them off.
Your other plants will need protection too if we get cold weather.
  • plenty left , at the moment , dont think I have lost any so far , we live in a sheltered spot , I might transplant to 3" pots , and see what happens

In the spring, poke your finger into the soil and just  drop them in.

If you can grow them on under cover but if they grow too big and outgrow the pots you could get probably away by planting out early and putting cloches over them? I find that they can be pretty tough plants. Mine self seed around the borders.
