Burnt edges

This plant is in a bright room but hidden in a corner so no direct sunlight. Very consistent 19 degree temperature. One of the 'stems' has already died and I removed it. Now a second one starts to look unhappy. I water it about once a week, when the top is dry. It has plenty of drainage space below. Any ideas? Does it like humidity?

    No, but Google lens thinks it might be a mango or avocado plant.

    I can see an avocado or mango seed, I think.  Probably a home-grown seedling.

    It is surprising how dark a room is, even right by a window.  Most houses are also too low in humidity for most plants.  Is that a radiator I see behind?

    It looks a lot like an avocado stone to me. Avocados do best in filtered light and relatively high humidity. I suggest standing the pot on a tray of gravel which is kept constantly moist.
