My dahlias

Does anyone else like a bdoes anyone else  like a big display of bold dahlias every year? I think as previous posts I’m wanting a herbaceous border going forwards so will group all my dahlias together.

    There's a decent size bed next to our terrace that has the same planting, more or less, every year - all hot colours. There are scarlet potentillas, Crocosmia Lucifer, yellow and orange heleniums and all the rest are dahlias
     In my long border, the dahlias are mixed in with the perennials and I play with the colours, I have whites, pinks and  lavender/purple and just a couple of yellows, and the flower shapes and sizes. Multi-tonal dahlias are great for linking different plants together and the cactus flowers or pompoms can liven up an area of similar shaped flowers. Plus single flowered dahlias are brilliant for bees and other pollinators!
