Blueberry plants

I'd like to get some blueberries, will be growing in pots. Can anyone recommend some good varieties that will do well in pots?

    I don't grow them, and they'd be in the ground here if I did, but this company is an experienced, and excellent, supplier so it's worth having a look  :)

    I have 3 that I got from Trehane Nurseries who specialize in them.
    I have an early (Patriot) and 2 mid-season (Herbert and Ozark Blue)
    Mine are about 6 years old now and planted in 15L pots with a soil-based ericaceous compost.
    I feed once a month during the growing season with Miracle Grow Azalea fertilizer and always use rainwater.
    I'm not overly impressed with the Patriot - a bit bland, but Herbert is reputed to have the best blueberry flavour and it is very tasty and perfumed.
    Ozark Blue also has very good flavour and is the sweetest.

    I have Brigitta and Liberty from Trehane and I’m pleased with them. I bought large plants to get instant results and I was very impressed with the way the plants were packed. Like Pete 8, I use soil based ericaceous compost and use only rainwater.

    I also bought (from Amazon) the very helpful guidebook Trehane advertise on their website.

    I have a blueberry Duke which I have planted in a large plastic pot. I only got a few berries last year so hoping to get more this year. Would anyone recommend getting another bush or are they self pollinating?

    I tried to grow them in the ground for a few years and they all died, I was looking after them too, then an old fella told me that it would be near impossible to grow them in my rich soil, he said to get them into pots and use Ericaceous compost. I have never looked back since, I now have 4 lovely bushes in quite large pots, they have an abundance of buds on at the moment.

    Birds love them if they're not protected.
