Well I am giving Chilterns another chance and ordered seeds so fingers crossed that I will be posting photos of my beautiful Cephalaria later this year.

I think mine flowered in the second year, but I probably started them later. Good luck!

    Good luck.
Come back to us if you have a problem with germination. I can easily send you a seed head for next year if needed. Also, complain bitterly to Chilterns if their seed doesn't germinate.

@Joyce Goldenlily thanks very much. Seeds didn’t germinate so I will be looking around for a full sized plant to buy. If it’s anything like Verbena boniarensis I will then have lots of  babies in future years.

My plants are still in their pots looking strong and healthy. I have given my daughter a couple. I do not know if they seed themselves like V.B. I shall know in a year or two. No one who posted mentioned them seeding so maybe they need a bit of TLC to get them started. The plant in the garden is doing well, haven't noticed any babies but it is a bit early for them yet.
I have 4 seeds left over from the ones I sowed, from Plants of Distinction. I can post them to you to try  but they will not be this years seeds.

Several self-sown ones have appeared in my garden this year. I must have been a bit lax with the deadheading last year, and the hot dry summer might have helped the seed to ripen. I've potted up a couple that were in inconvenient (for me!) places and there's another one that I missed that will need to be moved.
