The white line/indentation is on the inner side of the leaf. I planted these few bulbs Ornithogalum umbellatum/ Star of Bethlehem, according to my records and I don't expect them to flower, even if I don't decide to dig them up.

Hmmm that looks a bit crocus-like in that pic.

  • Might it be Liriope? The leaves look similar and it does have bulbs, also a blue flower later in the year.

Were you thinking of Liriope muscari? I don't think mine is. It was difficult to get clear photos. From a slight distance, my leaves look a bit like a cross between muscari armeniacum & a crocus, but I have those growing and they look different. I reckon mine probably are Ornithogalum/Star of Bethlehem, but they have never flowered in the shady area. Maybe I will move the pot. They don't look to me like the plants in the original poster's photos.

  • In the end, I think the ones I was asking about were Allium triquetrum. They actually have very nice white flowers so I don't feel inclined to get rid of all of them, just enough to tidy up the border and plant other things as and when.

    Don’t let them seed!

Noted! They definitely were allowed to seed in the past because there are many of them!
