Oil for shearers

What should you use to clean and oil your Shearers? Google didn't really help me.

WD 40 and sandpaper or wire wool are good for cleaning, a multi purpose oil like 3-in-One is best for lubricating and maintenance.

Wirral. Sandy, free draining soil.

I use some 0000 wire wool and whatever oil I have.
