onions

Hi all,

I grew Ailsa Craig onions from seed last year. I had still have some left in pots from last year. I was wondering if they would grow further if I planted them out this year or if they would just go to seed?

Thanks,

Mark

I think they woukd go to seed.
Have you tried onion sets? Baby onions, very easy.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Don’t throw them out … use them for cooking/eating … stir fries, replacement for chives, spring onions, shallots etc.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
