Houseplants - Cactus - Can anyone identify?

Hi all,

I have these two small plants, but no idea of what they are and thus no idea how to care for them :)

Can anyone help by identifying please?

For scale - the pots measure 9cm round.

Many thanks.

@DaveKearley I think the first one is known as a Barrel Cacti or Echinocactus.
Second could be a Haworthia a type of succulent.

  • I think the first is Mammilaria, distinguished by spines at the tip of a tubercle, of which there are hundreds of species.

Scale: 9cm round divided by pi, I make ca 3cm diameter,  That's tiny.
location: Surrey Hills, England, ex-woodland acidic sand.

My error i meant 9cm diameter, it won't let me edit now though :(
  • The spines are as @Alan Clark2 in Liverpool has said. Mammileria not Echinocactus.
