Cyclamen or Violets?

Saw these lovely little flowers in a garden today and couldn't decide on Cyclamen or Violets.
Anyone know which they are please!

    I think it’s too early for violets and they’re usually a bit darker, so cyclamen.

    I’d say Cyclamen coum definitely … 👍

    Definitely cyclamen, but I did see some violets flowering in a crack in the pavement in a nearby street on Saturday, so it's not too early for them.
    Doncaster, South Yorkshire. Soil type: sandy, well-drained

    Thats Cyclamen coum. My violets are out though!

    Would Cyclamen coum grow in grass (actually no grass in that patch right now!) under a tree but be over by the time the grass gets its first cut of the year?

    I haqve Cyclamen coum (and hederifolium) in regularly mown grass, not as big as those off the grass but they keep going

    I have some self-sown ones in the edge of the lawn. They haven't got to flowering size yet though. I cut the grass last weekend (high setting) and the cyclamen leaves were below the level of the blades. If/when they flower I might have to skip that area of lawn for the first few cuts because the flowers stand up higher than the leaves and my C. coum are still in flower. We'll see how it goes.
