Preparing ground for a new (sown from seed) lawn

I've dug up the dead lawn, removed the old turf, moss etc, removed stones and pebbles that I could see, broken the soil down, walked in baby steps all over it to flatten, spread top soil over the top, raked it level. Is it ready for lawn seeds or do I need to run a garden roller (hire from a shop) all over it before sowing seeds please?
I wish I could garden all year round!

    Ah you've answered this ground prep question in my other post about when to sow seeds  ;)
    I wish I could garden all year round!
