I just don't like pale blue @Dovefromabove, especially with those freckly, yellowy, sickly colours The rich colour of Pauline or J.S. Dijt are my favourites, but I'm a sucker for Deep Purple, and I don't mean the band....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
@Dovefromabove Flowering in my garden at the moment, good job I'm rubbish at loading photos. It's good we don't like the same things. I'm not sure there is a plant I hate. Yes there is, that Salix Flamingo sorry to those who love it.
They form tiny bulbils after flowering which is the problem, feeding them can be effective for year two but flowering stock is always deminished.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
I loathe that Flamingo thing too @GardenerSuze, which is why I rarely reply on threads concerning pruning it to make it look good, because I don't want to be a hypocrite about it. I'd only ever prune it right at ground level

I couldn't agree more. This is what you want: Pantone "iris" colour of the year.
Sorry if it's a bit overwheming but I was unable to make the image smaller.
