I know Monty Don uses the Dutch trowel but it comes with a 14cm handle and a much longer one. Does anybody know which one he uses. I now have weak wrists and a dodgy elbow which is why I’m asking .

    Their prices are exorbitant.  My first recce would be a local market to look for second hand ones.

    My OH uses the old Dutch style trowel (42 cm overall length) with a stab and pull style motion

    I have had my hand fork and trowel for nearly 20 years now and still love them.  My hand fork has a dent in the wooden handle caused by the imprint of my thumb - which shows how much it has been used and abused.

    Mine all came from birthday/Christmas gifts and are treasured.  Would highly recommend 😀
