Eggy compost

B3B3 Posts: 27,505
I have half a bag of compost left over from last year. It's full of eggs. Various kinds. What's the best way to deal with it. The compost is in a container at the moment.
Ps. Real eggs not slow release fertiliser😊

Spread it on a border where birds can eat the eggs or whatever hatches from them? Or brush into lawn as top-dressing?

Probably slug eggs.  Jenny has the answer.
location: Surrey Hills, England, ex-woodland acidic sand.

I agree with Jenny, birds will thank you for slug eggs.
  • Boil them and have them for breakfast.

I haven't got the right size egg cups, I'm afraid. Do they scramble?
