    I'm sure it'll be fine @stuarta99. Difficult for any of us to be 100% of course, as we aren't there to see it in the flesh, but it seems to have done well for you so far, so fingers crossed it'll be looking better as time goes on. 
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

    Looks like some of my little green pricks have turned into brown or black pricks although some possibly shooting.

    Also snapped a branch just now and appeared dead inside

    It could be it got hit by the frost/frosts we had over the week, it will blacken fresh growth but often it comes through it.

    Not quite sure when to expect it shooting out? Flowering now but maybe a bit later to shoot out?

    My mum mentioned cutting some of the dead shoots back until I find green but don't really want to start cutting it from stories I've heard
