May be I am too, I prefer the singles. I have to say that goes for other flowers too. Give me a beautiful daisy anyday.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

Thanks everyone for chiming in, this has turned into a very informative thread for me!

those doubles are lovely - although I will admit that they look pretty much identical to my eye.
The pictures were from last year - I've been waiting for the odd two to appear but they are yet to open. Will post more pictures when I have them.
