Bed design to stop roots running?

I have jeruselem artichokes, horseradish and raspberries in large pots. I now have a garden bed they could go into. What could I bury in the ground, around the beds, to stop the roots escaping?

I installed it in 2017 and so far so good.
I left about 2" above the soil surface to stop any over-adventurous roots

The one I bought is no longer available, but there are plenty of others.
