Hebe gone brown. What to do?

Hi guys,

I have to Hebes in pots and I think because of the frost they have. Gone brown around the edges.

What should I do? Do I trim off all the brown down to the green part or just leave it? Obviously if I cut back in the spring I'm going to lose the flowers but it's better than it looking crispy and brown.

Any advice would be appreciated :)

Yeah I'd wait a few weeks and then trim the crispy bits off.

@CraighB I think there is little you can do at present. It is frost damage maybe more vunerable as it is in a pot. Sadly lots of hebes won't survive this cold and wet winter. Too soon to start cutting back as more frost may be on the way.
I can't really see the pot but is it big enough? Is your shrub pot bound if so this may be part of the problem too.

Yes - they won't always come back from pruning. Best left until later in the year. When you see any new growth, and the plants are therefore alive, take the damaged stuff off.

It's very common when there's mild weather, then new growth gets damaged when that changes. It can happen even if there isn't new growth.
Wet then freezing is the worst for them.
