Cordyline palm tree

We have had a palm tree (a cordyline australias) planted in the garden 2.5 years. Over the last 3 months it has started to rot away and now looks a right mess, we can’t seem to find any advice or anywhere to go to help…could anyone advise me as to what it is and how to resolve it? Thanks!

    it's a gonner.
It might shoot from the base, but I think this one looks like it's had it.

Do you think there could be anything done to save it at all? Anything I can spray on or treat it with etc? Thanks!

it's just been too cold, and too wet for too long.
I'd do nothing , but wait
