Hi folks
On the free Chilli seeds, instructions on packet say " cover seeds with 5 cm of compost" TO ALL NEW GARDENERS, THIS SHOULD BE 5 MM , about 1/8 inch

Thanks @keith.friorpBqu6cyi for this tip. I also was wondering about that and used the usual 1cm, which I always do. My one haven't shown any sign of appearance. I wonder if my 1 cm was still too deep or if they just need more time. How long did it take before yours came out?

I planted five in late Jan, just as a trial, as in my previous attempts I'd found them slowgrowing here. I put them in my ancient propagator with some other trial 'maybes'. Five came up, within a week or two and are now on a sunny windowsill. Sunny when there's any sun of course!

I didn't read the sowing instructions, just did what I usually do.

Thanks Buttercupdays. I discovered this morning that 2 made it. Not bad. 2 weeks but at least I have something.
