  • Thanks very much @Fairygirl, that is very good advice. I hope to be planting some of the reticulata irises very soon. I agree about planting them in alpine pans although I was going to plant them in a raised bed. I don't have much grit left, so I will pack them in to avoid waterlogging.

  • Thank you @Fran IOM& @Sam 37, that is very helpful and I now understand why I missed that segment of the show...I should have read more carefully that it was on the previous episode!

Thanks @Fairygirl, happy to be put right. My dilemma is whether I now dig my  iris bulbs up again and put more per pot or not!

Looking forward to next weeks edition, from FT garden. Will be very interested in seeing what she has been doing this summer.

I wonder if she has spent all summer clearing the Bamboo?

It is sad news about Becky. I loved watching their enthusiasm for their gardening.

I hope, too, that Frances didn’t spend all the summer dealing with the bamboo, but it certainly looked as if it was going to be a mammoth task clearing it.

How very sad. Our thoughts are with Becky’s family and all who lived and cared for her. I hope the garden they shared will awaken happy memories of the lovely times they had together. ❤️
