This seed sowing guide was included in an email I received from GW today.  It should help forum members with seed sowing questions: Seed sowing tips and tricks - BBC Gardeners World Magazine

    8pm tonight.

" As plants begin to show their early growth, Monty gets plenty of plants for free when he demonstrates how to make the most of herbaceous perennials. He also cuts back pelargoniums that have overwintered in the greenhouse and makes a start on sowing vegetables.

Nick Bailey shares plans for his new garden in Cambridgeshire and shows us how to create a container garden ideal for those on the move. Frances Tophill discovers more ways to use cut flowers as she visits a florist in Dorset.

Sue Kent has plenty to do to start the growing season in her Swansea garden as she creates a white border and experiments with an unusual way to grow container vegetables. And Rachel de Thame celebrates the majestic hellebore.

Plus more of the films that have been sent in by viewers."

    Hello Forkers,
Just a quick peep to say hello from Bangor. Superlative meal in
Donaghadee last night. Met a lady on the shore who was photographing the aurora borealis. Not visible to the naked eye, but by some magic it showed on photos!! That's the closest I have ever been to such beauty. We froze to death but utterly worth it.

Wishing you all a good day!!

As Monty hadn't mentioned the banana plant I wondered if the frost got it I see that it caught some plants in his insulated store.

I don’t usually comment on here because I don’t have BBC but found the programme on YouTube with adverts. Not bad but I agree with others that I don’t want to see so many shots of 🐕 🐕 dogs.

Even Nick Bailey's dog got in on the act  :)

I found the cactus man really interesting which l didn't expect to do, and learnt some new things.

I see Sue Kent got rid of the phormium overhanging her steps. I was watching Toby Buckland cutting it back on one of the recent compilation programmes and thought personally l'd have removed it altogether.

Looking forward to seeing Adam's garden next week.

OH and Possum have taken to having a quiet bet on how long it takes me to fall asleep once GW starts.   I saw enough to think Nick B's ladder was a fun idea as long as he secures it well at each end, be pleased those overgrown phormiums had gone and be excited to know it'll be Adamin charge next week.

Dozed thru the rest and will FF the cactuses on the rerun as I'm not interested in them at all.  Having two of each here, gardening with cats and dogs around seems normal to me but I don't want time wasted on long, lingering shots on GW.

Monty's garden looked flooded around the edges, Sue Kent's idea of filling raised beds looked interesting and I agree with her husband those steps look dangerous, I'd love to have the room to grow cactus like the rocker very envious of his collection.

I felt a bit sorry for his partner losing her greenhouse to the expanding cactus collection! Not sure that I'd be so easy-going about it.

I think Nick Bailey is not always given much time on the programme. I hope the next segments are a bit longer, because he often has an interesting way of gardening, with inventive ways of doing things. I would prefer there to be fewer segments per programme and more depth.
Sorry to witness the demise of the forum. 😥😥😥😡😡😡I am Spartacus
