I don't know how much I spend on the garden. I do keep the bigger receipts but never tot them up. Like others, we don't smoke, although we do drink but don't often eat out.
Gardening is my main hobby so I don't feel guilty on buying stuff for the garden. I do like quality tools. As it's now a fairly mature garden, there's not much room for any more plants although I did buy two new roses last year and had another two given to me as presents. The children usually give me garden vouchers as presies and my husband will buy me anything I want.

I don’t know how much we spend on the garden, either. I do know it’s variable, though, with some years requiring a bigger spend than others. As long as we can afford it, we will continue, because the garden brings such pleasure.

I like that phrase @Lizzie27 - "my husband will buy me anything I want."  :D
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
