Loads already on the rose shoots. I did nothing at all to them last year apart from the odd bit of fondling. No trouble with them at all. The birds had the lot. I'm going to go for the no kill method again this year.  Fingers crossed.

  • I was going to say "Squish rather than Spray" would be a good slogan but quite like "fondling" now.
    Always associated fondling with gentle and caring but no longer  :D
  • I think that is a really good word that we should all adopt this season.
    I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
