Cordyline cold damage
We have two (I think) Cordylines which have been happy for many years in our garden in SE England. The prolonged cold earlier this winter seems to have taken its toll and they have lost leaves and look quite sad. Any idea what is the likely prognosis here and is there anything we should do now? Thanks!

It's worth leaving the foliage in situ, just in case any new growth from the crown gets damaged. Then you can take a view on it later in the year.
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
The same thing happened in 2010, which caused the single stem to die back to the ground. It grew another 5 stems from the roots and in the 13 years has grown to over 9ft tall. It doesn't look great for them now though. :-(
