Succulent identification

Could anybody please help in the identification of this succulent?  I am suspecting some species of Aloe although I am not sure.  It also appears to be producing flower spikes and, indeed, some Aloe spp. flowers do appear to look like this.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like a peperomia flower. I'll have a better look on the PC later.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
  • It does look like a peperomia, maybe P. ferrierae. It's quite commonly available and called the happy bean plant because it looks like french beans.
  • Thank you both so much for your responses.  It certainly looks like the Happy Bean Plant (what a wonderful name!).
