Secateurs with longer handles???

I'm looking for some secateurs with handles just 2-3 inches longer than the standard ones. I'm getting older and need to prune plants/shrubs which are just out of reach in the centre of some raised beds. Any help much appreciated. Thank you.

Wilkinsons do a good one but the handles are a bit longer than you mentioned
Had a look on Google. It's their ultralight series that's worth a look.

    Felco long-handled secateurs?

Or you might find a pair of lightweight, small loppers would be easier to use for shrubs.

I have one of these, by Spear & Jackson. I like them because, unlike loppers, you only need one hand and they reach quite far and hold onto the pruned stem.

I've never seen those.  Look like a great piece of kit.

As someone who is vertically challenged, they are great for pruning roses and other bushes taller than me and also gives me a longer reach into the centre of bigger borders.

  • The Wilkinson Sword secateurs are standard length so not what I need but thank you. I shall certainly check out the Spear and Jackson though. I've never seen these but they look as if they could be just the thing. Many thanks everyone - I'll let you know.
