  • Above are some shota overviewing the whole of the newly planted hedge. The last one is struggling but the rest seem to be doing ok.

    @Plantminded Mentioned a smaller leaved forn earlier in the thread. If it appears to be thriving other than the fact that the leaves are smaller, I think that is the answer. I think you were going to remove the bricks I would do that as soon as you can.
    I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.

    It's definitely a different variety, but they all seem to be thriving, so it just depends on whether you want to inform the supplier or not @scaliakevin1985yjkNkV9b.

    It's strange they allowed a different type to be sent - it's not as if they're deciduous and therefore wouldn't notice.  :/
    It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

  • Thank you for the info. How often I should I water them at this stage? They were all planted in November 
    Would once a week be ok?
