Bird ID
For some reason, my garden is suddenly awash with ground feeders. There's several blackbirds and a couple of redwings but also a few birds like round sparrows with pointy black beaks . Does anyone know what they might be?
In London. Keen but lazy.

They can look quite plump if they've got their feathers fluffed up in cold weather.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
They have pinky/red legs, so try and get a look at those.
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
