    In chemistry at school in Liverpool, we never used distilled water; tap was good enough.

    In Teessside, like many towns whose water source is moorland, the water was vey soft - and quite brown.  The loo continually looked as if it needed flushing.  But that was 1960s, might be diffferent now.

    @bede, I assume "look away punkboy", is aimed at me, it would fit with your generally rude demeanour?

    I would point out there is a difference between adding to tap water, for indoor plants, and your suggested usage as a weedkiller.

    I should also point out, that I have been called far worse on here, pukedoc was probably my favourite.
