It might be October but there's still plenty of colour & interest in the garden. I've been concentrating on close-ups so this shot is from my wife's new phone (she always shoots ultra-wide-angle nowadays).

Thank you @Psalm139. It’s Cortaderia selloanna Pumila, a dwarf pampas grass which is compact and not thuggish like the usual variety. It keeps interest in the garden from September until about March. I like the way it glows in sunlight, and reflects the sun, especially in the early morning. It’s about 1m wide and 1.5m high with flowers.
Garden will be left to manage on its own for a month, except K will come and mow up leaves and tidy up, as we are off to France to see my grandchildren.
