There are posters here from Oz, SA, USA and mainlaind Europe and UK posters who've lived and gardened abroad in hotter climates and also have such plants in their own gardens now.
I have a couple of young cordylines which have not yet done this but thanks to @ssarunic6b7_aGkwz and @pansyface I now know what to do if they get tangled.
