Should I buy a house with Japanese knotweed

    I certainly wouldn't buy it until the knotweed treatment has been completed (including neighbouring gardens, if affected) and with insurance to cover recurrence (ie treatment unsuccessful). even then I'd think twice and only consider it if there was really nowhere else.

    I agree with everyone else.  You'll have enough work to do in any new garden of the house you buy without having to worry about what is probably the most horrendous plant problem in the UK.
    Gardening in East Suffolk on dry sandy soil.
