Don’t remind me of him, @Fairygirl, he was awful, got booted off in the end though, so there is hope.

To revert to the original question.. These pics may be helpful.

Two cyclamen plants bought at a market from a guy who buys from Covent garden and usually sells outdoor plants.

Small white flowers, very "persicum" appearance, no scent.

When they finished flowering, I moved them from bathroom window ledge to under tje co;d grenhouse bench.  Although placed together, the frost only got one.

As I said on 15th Jan, on page 3

"... hybridisation now means that there are quite a few 'new type on the block' ... the ones advertised on this site are said to be hardy down to -2C in dryish conditions
    https://www.cyclamen.com/en/professional/garden..."

These are often sold by supermarkets, Tesco included, as winter bedding plants aka 'mini cyclamen'.

it’s not a competition of who can solve the query quickest
Now there's a good idea.  Add a bit of competitive spice.

Can you or any other posters recommend another UK gardeners' forum that would better suit my interests and personality?  Please do so.  I will gladly leave and take my potentially helpful knowledge and experience with me.

In the meanwhile, I will stick around and try to improve things here.

I think that advertising another forum on here might not be looked upon very highly by the "powers that be", however if you care to send me a Pm l might be able to help .
I am not being snide, this is a genuine post :) .

@bede As I mentioned yesterday you need a proper unbiased opinion from those you know. Sharing your posts with them rather than strangers will give you the advice you personally need, without the thoughts of strangers.
I have worked as a Gardener for 24 years. My latest garden is a new build garden on heavy clay.
