Cyclamen sun?

Even better is the fact that the corms are poisonous to mammals so nothing much (except vine weevil grubs) eats them.
In our last garden we had both hederifolium and coum as lawn weeds. They did not seem to mind being run over by the mower either.

    Well that was an interesting few more pages! Thank you to everyone who treated the discussion as a discussion and was helpful, or amiable, or just not rude to anyone for no reason. My conclusions;
    1. I'll move my cyclamen in the next few weeks or so, and see if it's happy. I think it'll be fine.
    2. If I'm out with people and anything gardening related comes up, I'll roll my eyes and point in the general direction of a library. 😉
    3. Swatting people's comments with condescending rudeness is never about the comment or the poster, that response comes from a person who is dissatisfied with their life for whatever reason, and projects it onto the nearest target. We've all been there to some degree or other. If that's you, the cure for that is also you; being miserable is a choice, and I wish you happiness.

The discussion might have been shorter if you had told us early on that you knew all about "species".  And had disclosed that your plant was probably hederifolium.

And less of the amateur psychology.

@bede I am sure you must have gardening friends or family that regularly read your comments on this forum, if not they don't need to sigh up to read what you have to say. Perhaps they could give you their honest opinion on your comments.

I think you are being far more gracious than he deserves. I admire you for that, @GardenerSuze

Yes miss.  I consider myself told off, miss.    And very graciously.

Bédé, I really don't care how long the conversation is, hence my use of the word 'interesting'.
I asked a reasonable question that I couldn't find an answer to, what is your problem with that exactly?
I am actually a psychologist, 30 years. 😄 That was 'basic' not 'amateur'.

    Were my replies helpful?

Sorry about the "amateur", the way you covered it, it certainly had an amateurish ring.  Either way, better not said.

What is your answer to my comment about your "hiding" your deeper knowledge of cyclamen species?  That certainly slowed me down.  And from my reading, others wasted time too. If we'd known, we all would have answered differently (or not).

@bédé … it’s not a competition of who can solve the query quickest 🤣

    I'm really baffled now!
At what point did @Slow-worm suggest it was a hederifolium, or any other species of cyclamen? When was she 'hiding' anything?
She asked the question, because she didn't know which type it was, and many of us answered in a suitable way, right from the start [apart from the relentlessly rude poster who had comments removed] and with appropriate advice, most of which was pretty consistent, and there were also some useful additions [Palustris etc]  along the way.

It's all pretty bl**din' obvious to me guv.   :D
I think it's the ignore button for me now. Starting to get like that Jac one we had on here 18 months ago.  :|
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
