I hope every body had a good Christmas and New Year.

I have had my dahlia tubers stored in the garage wrapped in news paper in mushroom trays to give a little ventilation, the paper  has got slightly damp, I have unwrapped them today to find a white fluffy fungus on them all, is this detrimental to the tubers, and should I treat them with something or leave uncovered to dry off. My intention was to bring indoors to an unheated bedroom to try and start cuttings earlier.

    They might rot off, so I would bring them in to dry off.

    Vitax yellow sulphur powder used to be used on dahlia tubers to prevent mould/mildews.  You could dust a little over them to see if that helps.

    If you can wipe off the mould first with kitchen towel or similar and then dust with sulphur powder, it should prevent any further deterioration.  A dry cool place indoors such as you mention will be your best bet for storage.
