hello Is it safe to put Alstroemeria stems on the compost heap at the end of their growing period I have a few hundred TIA

Yes. Is there a reason why you're concerned about doing it?
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Hi, yes absolutely, all spent plant material is excellent stuff for compost 😊 It helps to chop them up a bit if they are big stems to help them break down faster.

Thank you I fully intend to break them down 1st but wanted to make certain that they are not toxic
