summat's up with these Alders
Can anyone cast any light on what is happening with these Alders please. I think the future looks bad for them. I have lost a couple over the last few years but they didn't show this symptom. It look like they're leaking rusty water but the wet might be down to the weather.

Phytophthora bleeding cankers are infections of the bark of trees by various species of the fungus-like organism Phytophthora. Infection causes bark lesions (cankers) that bleed a dark or reddish-brown sticky fluid.
