Of course, homo sapiens is the top of the top five. Worldwide destruction of ecological health. How do you keep them out of your garden?
    Exactly:
    - not taking care of the garden at all
    - erecting fences that foxes break neck and leg and no hedgehog can go through
    - planting the opposite of what insects need to live
    - spraying weed killer
    - mowing permanently the lawn
    - etc.

    I my garden.

Use the search function (which nobody does!)..sit back, open a bag of popcorn and prepare to be entertained.

I really don't like popcorn.  Nasty, squeaky stiff like polystyrene.

You've chosen the number one guaranteed subject to cause a row on the forum. Enjoy😒

     For "row" read healthy debate.

Although so far, it doesn't seem much of a debate.

Healthy debate [sometimes] that's been done a hundred times though, and usually ends up in a particular way.

@Chris-P-Bacon - although, in this instance it [the search function] does work. There just isn't space for the amount of threads on the subject  on it :D
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

Dove,I was thinking Hosta will be rich this week. I have found the only sure fire way to stop cats coming in the garden...is to have one of your own. I suppose living in a flat without a garden would also work! We have to have our front garden open plan, and we get the dog ****. I have had dogs since childhood,am very mindful even where they wee, not on people's shrubs or wheelie bins.

I trust everyone has seen the Shalford and Brighton cats on TV.  The urban ones do a sort of time-share of territories.

Your trust is misplaced. But don’t bother to enlighten me.

Update, was on a slightly different post, regarding cat belonging to someone else. My daughter is moving Saturday, since she moved someone has been feeding/taking in her cat....yet again. She posted on her"neighbourhood friends" post.  This isn't Mumsnet, might just have well have been! She said if someone has fallen in love with him, especially a child, she doesn't want to try and take him. If an adult cat appears,he's likely got an owner. He's microchipped, they could have taken him to a vet and checked! She got suggestions, try the RSPCA( they wouldn't be interested) at the end of the day,he's HER cat, cost a huge amount in vet bills. She got abuse!!! She's obviously not interested in him, she's moving and abandoning him, vile. She had a 3rd nervous breakdown recently, and has been physically unwell to.
