Perennial sweet pea seeds

I have some perennial sweet pea seeds from a friends plant. When is the best time to germinate?

I haven't done the perennial ones from seed, but I'd reckon you'd wait until late winter/early spring. It's not suitable just now for annual seed, so I doubt it would be any different with those.
They won't need any special conditions, although - like the annuals, you may want to start them undercover and then get them outdoors once they're growing. It'll depend where you are, and what the weather's like too. They'd need some hardening off if you have them in a heated room in the house, then just very basic protection- same as the annuals. :)
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
  • Thanks- will hang fire until Spring.
