Care

Hi there my african marigolds have have been really good this year and have a lot of young seedlings spread around. My question is if I kept these over winter in a cold greenhouse would they survive ?
Cheers Tony.

Depends where you are. If they are kept fairly warm, they might, but here they would die.
Always helpful if people tell us where they are, makes a big difference to the answers to questions.

You may be better off saving some seed and sow them next Spring.
As punkdoc says, they may survive over winter - but they'll not be happy with such conditions, and by the time spring arrives and slugs etc have had a nibble they may not be in the best condition.

You could try potting some up and see how they get on, but don't be too disappointed if they don't make it. They might be better in a porch or conservatory if you have one.

Not very far from me then :) (OH was born in sunny Scunny and I worked there for 25 years). I don't think they'd survive outside unless we get an exceptionally mild winter.
