    Me too Woodgreen. Don't prune them down, I enjoy them too much.

    And talking about pruning. As mentioned yesterday, I've trimmed the Portuguese laurel. I've been a bit more brutal this time but it's only a small area so by next year they should be just about right. Pic below is before.

    The laurels look really good either side of the step up, shaping up nicely, and what a lovely garden.

    They're looking really good @Uff!  Seven minutes between posting the before and after photos, very skilled and speedy pruning!!

  • I'll try to have a look through my old discussions tomorrow and see what I can update... you're right, @Fire, it's really interesting (and helpful) to see the results of advice after a season or two.
    Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
