Hard one to identify ?

    Looks like a sycamore seedling in front and  Virginia creeper or something similar behind to me.
    In London. Keen but lazy.

    Easy one.....It is Liquidambar styraciflua.

    Always fab colours in the autumn.
    Acer...leaves are opposite.
    Liquidambar leaves look similar but are alternate.
    There are many now named cultivars...Gum ball, Worplesdon. Lane Robert, Slender Silhouette..etc etc.
