They are such a wonderful bronzy-plum at this time of year … they start of by the green leaves turning an almost metallic grey-bronze and then it becomes suffused with shades of plummy-red … some years there’s more red than others.

For those who don’t know the tree it is probably one of the most spectacular looking autumnal trees I’ve ever seen . Now to find a couple to plant . Once again Thanks
Glad to help … I don’t see ‘mine’ any more as it was in a place I went to for work … I loved watching it as the colour develops … it really is a handsome tree.
They’re not that common, but I always keep my eye open to spot them at this time of year 😊
